What a weekend!
GREAT weekend!!!!! We went to Maquis Gras, a tiny little Star Trek convention in Northern Ind. We roomed with Dawn, Des, Chand and Trina. Everybody was flirting outrageously and having a wonderful time. The con folks welcomed first-timers Dawn and Des with open arms. Bob and JG were hilarious, and completely captivated by Lily. One of my favorite moments was when 6 Kilngons were standing around mesmerized by Lily. B-) | | Tuesday, July 19th, 2005 | | 9:03 pm |
Greatest Humor on the Web
Seriously, folks! http://svamcentral.org/ewic/ms-sam.htmlLook for the Sailor Babylon listing. The original story is garbage (Ivonova is Sailor Babylon? Her reaction to this is accurate, at least) Doug Atkinson did a MiSTing of it and it's HILARIOUS!!!! Current Mood: cheerfulCurrent Music: Secret Agent Man | | Thursday, July 14th, 2005 | | 7:33 am |

Stuff
'Twas a busy day. Went to our last baby class, Baby Basics. Some stuff we already knew, but there was good info on baby CPR and choking. Got home and Karen and Dail are here (my in-laws). Nice to see them. Got some dinner and some pictures Karen took developed. The best was a shot of Lynette and Lily top of head to top of head facing the camera. The dryer has been down since Thursday. Lost the bit that holds the door closed. Thanks to Suzi's suggestion I tried using a folding chair to hold it closed. It worked! I ordered a replacement part on Thu. The Sears website was nice for finding the part I needed and ordering it. The problem is that I had to pay $6 for a $7 part and won't get it for 4 to 10 business days. Sigh! Baby Telepathy
My kingdom for a telepathic baby! Reportedly as we (Suzi, the baby, and I) get to know each other better, we (Suzi and I) will be able to discern what Lily wants from the cry she makes. Can't come soon enough for me! Pictures are on the way. An initial one is available at: http://www.bronsonhealth.com/nursery/display.asp?UseFrame=&PrimaryKey=GroLil0506300157The address is right, their server was down at the time of this writing. Hopefully it'll be up soon. Current Mood: cheerfulCurrent Music: Computer Whirr | | Saturday, July 2nd, 2005 | | 1:39 pm |
New life
Sorry I haven't updated in a couple days. We've been busy. Lily Vera Grossman was born at 1:57 a.m. on June 30, 2005. She was 7 lbs. 14 oz. 21 in. She and Suzi are well and home. Lily's a bit jaundiced but otherwise fine. We go back to the hospital for another test tomm. The neighbors were just by dropping off two armloads of food. Trianna did dishes Thu night and Darryl folded a mountain of clothes! Thanks to everyone who helped! Current Mood: ecstaticCurrent Music: Computer Whirr | | Tuesday, June 28th, 2005 | | 4:16 pm |
First Post
Here begins the first post on my LiveJournal..... It probably won't be exciting, or updated regularly, but it's my space. Hee. Had jury duty today. Got out of it be letting them know about my pregnant wife, due next week. Fatherhood... what a concept. Current game addictions: City of Heroes, Civilization 3 Conquests, and the occasional Spider Solitaire game. Current Mood: cheerfulCurrent Music: Glee! |
